On 9th January, Ontario conducted the first Express Entry-linked draw of 2020. 242 invitations were issued under the French-speaking Skilled Worker System. The candidates who were invited in the 9th January draw had a CRS score ranging between 433 and 472. Obtaining a provincial nomination will help them add 600 more points to their CRS score.
Three streams of the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Programs are linked with the Express Entry Program. They are:
- Human Capital Priorities Stream
- French-Speaking Skilled Worker Stream
- Skilled Trades Stream
Among the eligibility criteria, one must be skilled in the French language. Scoring the French proficiency with at least a CLB 7 or higher in an eligible French language test. They should also be able to understand, speak, read and write English at a minimum CLB 6 level or higher.
But to be eligible for French-speaking Skilled Worker System, one must be eligible to enter the Express Entry Pool.
